ARTAID Online is a Company registered in the UK created to promote and sell the work of Artists, whilst raising funds for participating charities.
ARTAID Online is only responsible for the financial transaction and distribution of the funds on confirmation of acceptance of an item or items. The insurance, transportation and condition of the item and all other matters concerning the actual good(s) are between the buyer and seller. Although ARTAID Online does offer basic operational guidelines and codes of conduct for both parties, unless covered by the User Agreement, they are only guidelines.
The participating charities promote the ARTAID Online website via links with there own websites, articles in their newsletters and magazines as well as any other means available to the charity where desired. Any sales attributed to a specific charity or selected by the buyer will receive commission on that sale thus raising funds for their cause. In doing so, member Artists' work is exposed to a huge potential market.
What’s the advantage to the Artist/Vendor?
Unlike most galleries who deduct 50%, ARTAID Online only deducts 25% of the total sale price, 20% is donated to the specified charity. Furthermore, with the assistance of the participating charities, members will be exposed to a huge potential market, probably considerably bigger than any other gallery or website.
Why buy from ARTAID Online? ARTAID Online supports both artists
ARTAID Online supports both artists and the participating charities. A percentage of a purchase will be donated to the charity you choose from our list, whilst the larger share goes to the Artist/Vendor. The commission added, is less than that taken by a conventional gallery or other art websites, thus keeping the overall price to you down.
We are continually expanding with new charities, but for the list of current participants, please click on ‘charities’.
Yes, if you are the buyer, but only from the list of charities participating. Should you wish to donate to a non-participating charity, we would ask you to contact the chosen charity and encourage them to contact ARTAID Online for details on how to join us. We are continually approaching charities to join, however, with the amount of charitable organisations; we can not approach them all.
What if I don’t choose a charity?
If you do not wish to choose a charity, then the percentage normally due, will be set aside in a development fund and used to improve our services to you, the client, to our member Artists and charities.
If you are a charity wishing to participate, please contact ARTAID Online via the form on ‘Become a Participating Charity’ or by email to enquiries@artaidonline.com. If you are an artist or vendor, please fill out the application form provided.
If I am a gallery, college, arts club or commercial seller of art, can I join?
We will consider all applicants and endeavour to tailor packages to the needs of our members. Please contact enquiries@artaidonline.com
You can order one or more items by clicking on the shopping cart iron/button by the item you have chosen. The contents of your shopping cart will be passed onto ARTAID Online once you have filled out the required details and pressed submit.
What happens once I have submitted an order?
Your order will sent to ARTAID Online and a confirmation email sent.
On receipt of payment via PayPal or other, the artist/vendor will be informed and the item(s) dispatched to the address you have given.
Yes. On receipt of your purchase(s) you will have 14 days to return the goods. Providing the returned good(s) are undamaged, a full refund will be awarded within 30 days, less any cost incurred in the processing of your transaction.
The artist/vendor is responsible for the shipment to the buyer. If the buyer wishes to return the item(s), the cost will be borne by the buyer. We have an agreement with FedEx for special rates. In some circumstances the buyer will be responsible for shipment, such as unusual delivery requirements or delivery locations.
The vendor/artist is responsible for the insurance of the goods until received by the buyer. Any damage in transit will be covered at the responsibility of the artist/vendor or the Delivery Company, however should an item(s) be returned, we advise the returnee insure the item(s) himself or herself.
What happens if the item arrives damaged?
You may return the item or talk to the artist/vendor direct about repairing it, however the damage may have occurred during transit, so could be the responsibility of the delivery company. As the recipient you should check the item prior to signing for it, but each delivery company has a different policy.
ARTAID Online in most cases will not get involved with the physical side of the transaction. We only deal with the financial aspect, however we will assist both the buyer and seller in mediation, to resolve issues if we can. Please refer to our User Agreement for further details.
