ARTAID Online is a Company registered in the UK created to promote and sell the work of Artists, whilst raising funds for participating Charities. Our aim is to create a symbiotic relationship between Artists and Charities, one supporting the other to their mutual benefit.
A percentage of any purchase will be donated to the charity chosen from our list by the buyer, whilst the larger share goes to the Artist/Vendor. The commission added is less than that taken by most conventional galleries or other art websites, thus keeping the overall price to the buyer down and the benefit to the Artist maximised. Unlike normal galleries who take up to 50% commission, ARTAID Online will only deduct 25%, 20% being donated to the participating charity nominated by the buyer. This way the Artist benefits whilst also benefiting charity.
As a member you will be issued with a personal password, enabling you to securely access your own work on ARTAID online, giving you the ability to download your images and edit your own details. You will have the facility to use your own 'address' (URL) for friends and clients, so they can go directly to your work on the Internet, similar to having your own website. There may be a surcharge if you wish for us to manage your 'Package' for you.
The participating Charities are encouraged to support the ARTAID Online website via links with there own websites, articles in their newsletters and magazines as well as any other means available to the Charity where desired. Any sales attributed to a specific Charity or chosen by the buyer will receive commission on the sale.
The advantage to the Vendor/Artist is that with the assistance of the participating charities, members will be exposed to a huge market, potentially considerably bigger than any other gallery or website with the participating charities’ own websites and newsletters, exposing images to 100,000’s of buyers.
In brief, ARTAID Online aims to achieve a close relationship between Artists and Charities, mutually supporting each other, but ARTAID Online is essentially only responsible for the financial transaction and distribution of the funds on confirmation of acceptance of an item or items. The insurance, transportation and condition of the item and all other matters concerning the actual good(s) is between the buyer and seller.
